Track Record of Success
Trained by Bob Bowman of Michael Phelps, Sergio Lopez of Joseph Schooling and World's Fastest Man 1984, Ang Peng Siong, Lukas has been a competitive swimmer for over 13 years, quickly climbing up the junior ranks with Aquatic Performance Swim Club before qualifying for the Singapore National Team at age 14 in 2010.
Since then, Lukas has represented Singapore on the national-level countless times in places such as Moscow, Berlin, Beijing, and Dubai at the FINA World Cup, claiming Singapore's first relay Silver medal in the 4x50 freestyle mixed relay in 2014. Lukas is also a multiple SEA Age Group Champion and medalist, and has competed in other international competitions such as the Spanish, Queensland and Hong Kong Open Swimming Championships.
As an age group swimmer, Lukas earned the crown as South East Asia's fastest 50m 15 and over age group freestyle sprinter. A highly successful NCAA Division 3 swimmer at college in the United States, Lukas was crowned the 2018 NCAA National Champion in the 100-yard breaststroke (awarded to the fastest swimmer in the entire division 3), 2019 runner up and is a 17 time All-American, 16 SCIAC conference champion and school record holder.
Coaching wise, Lukas has had various experiences coaching children and adults across all levels as a volunteer coach at APSC Swim School, Special Olympics Singapore, his own swim team and through various social service programs. His coaching is methodical, adaptable and detailed across all aspects of technique, water safety and competitive skills.
